I have purchased two of these dryers and they have BOTH burned out on me one day after the warranty expires. I thought the first one was a fluke, but the second one did the same thing. Do not waste your money on this item.

I've never had a dryer catch on fire before, very scary! Less than 2 years old, personal use only, regular cleaning and it catches fire?? Beware!!

I've used this dryer for years and love it! I read the other reviews, I have found that cleaning the "lint filter" can help you avoid any of the defects.

I purchased this dryer on the recommendation from my hair dresser a year and a half ago. It is an awesome machine....HOWEVER, don't drop it! It accidently fell out of my hand last week and hit the floor. I thought it was going to explode. It scared me half to death. It started making this piercing scraping noise. I was able to turn it off and then heard stuff shaking inside. Apparently there is glass in the hub of the dryer. When it fell it broke. I would still get another one because I love the way it dries my hair -- no frizz. Just be aware.
