Aerosol hair sprays were a common sight in beauty parlors and barber shops of the 1950's and onward. In the 1980's, environmental concerns lead the non-aerosol spray movement which was a responsible reaction to the times. Somewhat like comparing the performance of apples to oranges, aerosol and non-aerosol both have great value.
